Bizquip supplied the complete loose furniture package for the Polaris Building at Dublin City University, a landmark €63.6m, 10,000m² STEM facility supporting over 3,000 students. Delivered by the Walls McKeon JV within a live campus environment, the project demanded robust, flexible and future-proof furniture solutions suited to high-use educational spaces.
Lynne Casserley and Alison Behan from our Interiors team championed this very close collaboration with DCU and Mullarkey Pedersen Architects and supported the development of a cohesive furniture concept from early design through to installation & set out. Our package included the creation of both 2D GA layouts and 3D visual renders to assist with material selection and finishes. A curated mix of informal lounge seating, collaborative furniture, study tables and staff spaces was selected to support modern learning styles while introducing colour, comfort and durability throughout the building.
The result is a vibrant, adaptable interior environment that enhances the architectural vision of Polaris and supports DCU’s ambition to deliver next-generation STEM teaching and research facilities.
