Clerkenwell Design Week 2025 Highlights

Silen Bridges Collection - Bizquip

We attended Clerkenwell Design Week last week, a large commercial furniture design festival in London, held in May each year that showcases the latest in interior design and workplace furniture solutions. This year saw a strong focus on flexible, expressive and sustainable loose furniture solutions. Several notable manufacturers, whom we represent locally here in Ireland, opened their doors for the week and we have captured our key highlights, alongside a variety of images as outlined below.

Bisley formally introduced their official collaboration with Irish furniture manufacturer, GreyFox Design, alongside vibrant steel storage units, creatively used to create key zones and define spaces in an open plan workplace. GreyFox furniture provides collaborative settings, take the Grounded Table as a key example of this, which took centre stage at the festival. Arches, the Bisley collection that offers flexibility and agility in the workspace, was also on display throughout their London showroom. Their planter units, available in a wide variety of finishes including a minimal aesthetic or a punch of colour, depending on the concept design objectives of a workplace, enable a presence of wellbeing in the workplace.

Silen, acoustic pod specialists, unveiled their new London showroom and demonstrated their commitment to versatile work environments by combining acoustic pods with collaborative settings to offer both quiet, focused spaces alongside informal, semi-private acoustic solutions. This is evident through their variety of solutions such as the Bridges collection, the Bridges Mobile and Bridges Bond being two examples of this versatility.

Framery highlighted their smart, technology enabled acoustic pods, emphasizing the versatility and multi-functional use of acoustic pods for a variety of settings. Of strong relevance is the fact that such private, focused pods are especially helpful for sensory sensitivities and the pods are regularly used in settings such as education, healthcare and workplaces to ensure neuro inclusion and well-being.  Framery showcased their pods in calming light blue and navy tones, to create a peaceful environment that enables users to decompress, focus or reflect.

We have both Framery & Silen acoustic pods on display locally here in our Sandyford Showroom.

Frovi, a UK manufacturer of break out, collaborative and formal furniture solutions, offered a great variety of contemporary furniture solutions, showcasing modular sofas and individual armchairs, meeting room chairs & dining chairs along with modular tables, focusing on the evolving needs of modern workspaces. The Relic Social Table and Wish chair were two highlights, bringing together thoughtful furniture design with functionality.

Across the board, there was a noticeable trend towards incorporating simplicity, warm hues of earthy wood tones and a variety of shades of blush pink, red and orange. These shades were paired with a consistent injection of biophilia and neutrals. The Workstories showroom had a huge injection of biophilia, creating a sense of calm and serenity. Sustainable materials underscored a growing and popular emphasis towards sustainable materials and eco-friendly production practices.

We hope you might find the images and summary of insights above beneficial for offering practical inspiration for any workplace re-design you are considering. There is great variety of choice but common themes of functional, inclusive furniture solutions to support both collaboration and privacy remain of utmost importance.
